About

Notes by Kuniko is a space for honest reflections and open conversations about everyday luxuries, identity, and cross-cultural life.

I’m Kuniko, born in Okinawa, Japan, and now living in the U.S. after years of moving across continents. I’ve worn many hats: international correspondent, Pilates instructor, wellness coach, and now advocate and mentor for those navigating life between cultures.

My writing blends personal reflections (Personal Notes) with thoughtful advice-style Q&As (Open Notes). I share stories, questions, and gentle insights drawn from real moments, which shape who we become.

Whether you’re building a life in a new country, balancing cultures in a relationship, or simply seeking meaning in ordinary moments, I hope my notes remind you that your story matters within all its shifts and in-between.

Honest reflections and open conversations about self and life.
